Tinubu Reshuffles 2027 Campaign Council, Names Idele Women Mobilisation Director
President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has reshuffled key positions in its mobilisation directorates, appointing Dr Mary Aille Idele as Director of Women Mobilisation and moving former Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Dr Betta Edu, to the deputy position.
The changes were announced in a statement signed by the council’s Secretary, Hope Uzodimma, on Tuesday as the ruling All Progressives Congress intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Under the new arrangement, Hon. Imaan Suleman was appointed Secretary of the Women Mobilisation Directorate, joining Idele and Edu in the team responsible for coordinating support among women for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The council also appointed Ayo Olawande as Director of Youth Mobilisation, with Dr Dayo Israel named Deputy Director.
In another major change, Dr Farouk Adamu Aliyu was appointed Director of the newly created Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management, while former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, was named Co-Director.
According to the statement, the adjustments followed the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council and were designed to strengthen its organisational structure, improve coordination and enhance operational efficiency ahead of the 2027 polls.
“The adjustments reflect the Council’s commitment to building a well-coordinated, inclusive and results-driven campaign structure capable of effectively mobilising Nigerians, particularly young people and women, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid,” the statement said.
The council urged the appointees to work closely with other directorates and campaign structures to ensure effective implementation of its mobilisation strategies.
Tinubu inaugurated the APC Presidential Campaign Council on October 14 at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event brought together APC chieftains and political figures from other parties, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
