Sunny Ekpeson Dissolves All Political Appointments, Thanks Appointees for Service to Etsako East
The Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, has announced the dissolution of all political appointments under the council, bringing the current cycle of political appointments to a close as the administration prepares for the transition into his substantive tenure as the elected Council Chairman.
The decision marks another significant step in the political transition following Ekpeson’s election by the people of Etsako East Local Government Area, with preparations now underway for his swearing-in as the elected chairman.
In a statement conveying the dissolution, Ekpeson expressed deep appreciation to all political appointees for the roles they played in the administration, particularly their contributions to the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the advancement of the council and the implementation of programmes during his tenure in acting capacity.
The chairman acknowledged the sacrifices, support and responsibilities undertaken by the appointees, noting that their service formed part of the collective effort that moved the council forward during a crucial period.
“On behalf of the Etsako East Local Government Council and the entire administration, I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you for your contributions towards the growth of our great party and the development of our local government.
“Your service, sacrifices and support have not gone unnoticed. I thank you immensely for the role you played during your tenure and wish you all the very best in your future endeavours.
The chairman stressed that the dissolution should not be interpreted as the end of the appointees’ relevance in public affairs, but rather as the conclusion of one phase of service and the beginning of other possibilities.
