JAMB Restores CAPS, Urges Candidates To Upload NECO Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the full restoration of its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) following a temporary disruption.
The board also urged candidates who had been awaiting their results to promptly upload or verify their credentials following the release of the 2026 National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results.
JAMB said the step was necessary to ensure that candidates’ credentials were available for consideration as tertiary institutions intensify their admission processes.
In a statement, the board said, “JAMB wishes to inform candidates, institutions and other stakeholders that the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) has been fully restored and is now operational, following the temporary disruption.”
The board added, “Following the release of the 2026 NECO SSCE results, candidates who previously awaited their results are advised to upload and/or verify them promptly to ensure their credentials are available for consideration as institutions intensify their admission processes.”
JAMB urged candidates and other stakeholders to take advantage of the restored CAPS platform and proceed with the admission process within the approved timelines.
The board also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the disruption and thanked candidates, institutions and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding.
