Gov. Okpebholo To Edo Youths: Your Future Is Too Important For Crime And Shortcuts
Governor Monday Okpebholo is pushing a different message to Edo's young people: education, skills, enterprise and legitimate opportunity must defeat crime and the temptation of quick money.
But the bigger test of that message is what government puts behind it.
From teacher recruitment and agricultural opportunities to trader support, skills development and expanding infrastructure, the challenge is to build an Edo where young people can see a pathway from learning → skills → opportunity → income.
The message is simple: don't just tell the youth to reject shortcuts. Build enough legitimate roads to success that they don't need one.
