Edo Government Announces Minor Cabinet Reshuffle, Redeploys Four Commissioners
The Edo State Government has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of four Commissioners across key ministries, Comrade Ibrahim Eshikhena Media reports. 

The development was contained in a Government Special Announcement signed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., on September 11, 2026.

According to the statement, the reshuffle was approved by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as part of efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and enhance efficiency in the administration of the state.

Under the new arrangement, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue has been redeployed from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, while Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae moves from Physical Planning and Urban Development to the Ministry of Water Resources.

Also, Hon. Andrew Momodu has been redeployed from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, while Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa moves from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

The redeployments take immediate effect.

Governor Okpebholo urged the affected Commissioners to deploy their experience and expertise effectively in their new portfolios and remain committed to the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
