‘Development Will Reach All the 192 Wards In Edo,’ Says ALGON Chairman Sunny Ekpeson as He Inspects Six-Classroom Project In Etsako West, Announces Healthcare Centre Imminent
The Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, has assured the people of Edo State that the ongoing development drive under the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo will reach communities across the state.

Ekpeson gave the assurance while inspecting the newly completed ALGON-funded project comprising a block of six classrooms, an office and four-unit toilet facility at Afeekohai Village, along Jattu-Ayuaijyuku Road, Jattu-Uzairue, in Etsako West Local Government Area.

The ALGON Chairman, who expressed satisfaction with the project, commended Governor Okpebholo, describing him as a “project manager” whose administration is translating its development agenda into visible projects across Edo.

He also commended the then Acting Chairman of Etsako West, Hon. Valentine Okwilagwe, for his role during the period the project was initiated and successfully completed.

According to Ekpeson, the project represents the kind of grassroots development that should be expected across the 192 wards in Edo State, adding that a healthcare centre would follow immediately at the project location.

He said, “What you are seeing here is just one example of what Edo people should expect. Development will not stop here. We are taking this kind of intervention to communities across the 192 wards in Edo State.”

Ekpeson further said the development initiatives were in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the SHINE Agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo, which he said were focused on bringing meaningful development closer to the people.

He urged Edo people to continue to support and trust the APC, saying the party had demonstrated through its programmes and projects that it was prepared to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

The Edo ALGON Chairman therefore called on Edo voters to maintain their support for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections, assuring that more development projects would continue to reach communities across the state.
