Adeleke Backs Tinubu’s Re-Election, Says ‘Nobody Can Stop This Movement’
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging Nigerians to give the President more time to implement his reforms ahead of the 2027 general election.
Adeleke, a member of the Accord Party, made his position known on Wednesday during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governor argued that four years would not be enough for Tinubu’s reforms to deliver the desired results, saying the administration needed more time to consolidate its policies.
“We must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” Adeleke said.
Explaining his decision to support the President, he added, “That is why I’m here to throw my weight.”
The governor, popularly known as the dancing governor, expressed confidence in the campaign and vowed to mobilise support for Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock.
“Nobody can stop this movement,” he declared, adding, “We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock.”
Adeleke urged supporters to intensify mobilisation, insisting that preparations for the election had already begun.
“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he said.
He also called on Nigerians to continue praying for Tinubu, arguing that the success of his administration would benefit the country.
“If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there,” the governor added.
